2 Day 4WD Cooktown Safari |
Day 1 Cape Tribulation to Cooktown
It's a 4WD adventure as we journey along the famous Bloomfield Track, a remote 4WD road in the Daintree National Park. This spectacular coastal track will take you to the Bloomfield Falls where you will learn from the traditional aboriginal owners, the Kuku Yalanji people about their history, bush medicine and bush tucker. We then drive on to historic Cooktown, where the rainforest gives way to the tropical savannah of Cape York Peninsula. Spend time exploring this historic town where Captain Cook beached his ship in 1770 including a visit to the James Cook Museum, and Grassy Hill for spectacular views. After lunch drive to the mysterious Black Mountain, before heading to the famous Lion's Den Hotel, we may even have some time for a swim. In the afternoon we head for Mungumby Lodge. |
Day 2 Cooktown to Cape Tribulation
FREE day at Mungumby Lodge. Your host will advise you on the many optional activities available, or simply relax in the beautiful swimming pool or grounds. In the afternoon return by 4WD to your accommodation in Cape Tribulation. |
