Description

14 Days of wildflowers and wildlife, this unique tour follows a huge arc across the continent, from east to west, highlighting Australia's many varied and beautiful landscapes.

Day 1 - Sydney/Broken Hill/Coober Pedy
Depart Sydney this morning for western NSW, landing at Broken Hill. Re-board for a flight to Coober Pedy, world renowned for its opals. Sleep underground tonight in one of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World - The Desert Cave.

Day 2 - The Nullarbor Plain/Kalgoorlie/Coolgardie
This morning's flight crosses the Great Victoria Desert and the arid Nullarbor Plain. provides uninterrupted views of the stark, arid landscape below. Land at the gold mining town of Kalgoorlie. A tour of this interesting city explains the development and history of this once prosperous place. In contrast, a visit to nearby Coolgardie, classified as a ghost town, transports us back to the goldmining days of the late 1800's.

Day 3 - Kalgoorlie/Perth
Board your private aircraft this morning for the capital of Western Australia - Perth, which is renowned for its perfect climate and easygoing way of life. The charm and beauty of this city are revealed during a tour through Kings Park and Gardens, which displays a colourful array of the Western Australian wildflowers in season as well as offering a panoramic view over the city of Perth. This afternoon we will visit Australia's host site for the America's Cup - Fremantle.

Day 4 - Perth
Today cruise the Swan River aboard the luxurious Miss Sandalford. Enjoy a superb lunch by their award winning chef at Sandalford Caversham Estate.

Day 5 - Perth/Margaret River Region
Your private aircraft wings you to the Margaret River Region. En route, enjoy views of Geographe Bay and the South West Australian coastline. Visit local wineries to taste the acclaimed wines.

Day 6 - Cape Naturaliste
Explore the picturesque southern corner of Western Australia including Cape Leeuwin. Witness the meeting of the Southern and Indian Oceans.

Day 8 - Valley of the Giants
The Valley of the Giants situated in the Walpole - Nornalup National park is famous for its towering red tingle trees. A spectacular walkway has been constructed through the forest canopy to enable a close inspection of these majestic trees. Walk above a Karri forest 40 metres above ground.

Day 9 - Albany/Esperance
Today travel to the coastal town of Esperance, which is renowed for its endless white sandy beaches. Cruise through the Recherche Archipelago, home of the rare and endangered New Zealand Fur Seal and the Australian Sea Lion.

Day 10 - The Great Australian Bight/Kangaroo Island
Today a flight to remember! Leaving Esperance the aircraft follows the contours of the Great Australian Bight at 500 feet. The unforgettable sight of cliffs which drop dramatically into the surf below, jagged rocks which almost appear hand carved and endless desert stretching into the distance, will leave you breathless.

Day 11 - Kangaroo Island/Wildlife/Sea Lions
One of Australia's largest nature reserves, Kangaroo Island is renowned for its wildlife. Kingscote is the major centre on the island and was the home of the first white settlers in South Australia. Visit Seal Bay, a sea lion breeding colony and walk amongst the sea lions as they lie relaxing on the beach.

Day 12 - Kangaroo Island/Flinders Ranges
Our aircraft awaits to take us to Leigh Creek, gateway to the Flinders Ranges and Wilpena Pound. On the way stop at Parachilna for a delightful lunch at the Prairie Hotel, which is an oasis amidst this rugged landscape and has been featured in many Australian movies.

Day 13 - Flinders Ranges

Enjoy a four-wheel drive exploration of the rugged Finders Ranges and the breathtaking scenery of Wilpena Pound.

Our flight this morning takes us to the wine growing region of Mildura. After a pleasant lunch at a local winery, reboard the aircraft for the return flight to Sydney.
