PNGTIA president Gary Seddon said the signing was a step forward as it consolidates the relationship between government and private sector to work together in partnership to develop and promote our tourism industry. Mr Seddon said the signing will ensure sufficient funding from TPA to market and promote niche products within the industry. TPA chief executive officer Peter Vincent said PNG has a lot of potential in tourism and it should be driven by the industry. "We are looking at developing a relationship to set the way forward for tourism in the future. We firmly believe that tourism development in the country should be driven by the industry," he said. PNGTIA executive officer Erue Taunao was witness to the signing and exchange of notes.
